Yesterday I finally got Crysis. Yeah i'm two years late - but it was worth the wait. With stunning graphics and a gripping storyline, this game in my view is a serious contender for my favorite other story based FPS Half Life 2 which was probably one of the influences of this game.

Crysis is stunning, and I really am sorry that I had to wait this long to play it. The CryEngine is certainly a contender for the Source Engine, if not at least graphics wise.

I started on Saturday morning with the demo, realizing that I hadn't tested it on my PC since I bought a dual-core processor just after Christmas. (I tried it using my single core, but it was unplayable and the sound crackled like hell.)

The above video is the result of many graphical tweaks - but it still didn't record as nicely as I would like it to. I got it on Saturday, and by Sunday I'd completed it. I thought that the game was extra short or something, but a quick glance at my Steam Community Stats showed that i'd managed to clock 11 hours on the game. Oops.
